💔 "Who Are We to Judge?" 💖

In my journey of guiding young souls who've faced the depths of emotional pain and societal pressures, the question, "Who are we to judge?" resonates profoundly.

Allow me to passionately share my profound reflections on the impactful journey of working with young individuals who have bravely faced the challenges of self-harm.

Do you think it sounds disturbing to you?

Yes, in my barely two-week stay locally, I have seen and worked with 4 young people who felt their presence did not matter for the environment where they were - the reason they have tried different calculated ways to simply "disappear".

Many of these beautiful yet struggling young people find themselves at a crossroads, having resorted to self-harm as a desperate attempt to navigate their overwhelming emotions.

The question is: "Where are the adults? Who supports and guides these young souls struggling to understand their emotions?"

Given the stigma that comes with self-harm, my role here is not to look for what and who's at fault. My position involves helping everyone identify the givens in their relationship dynamics, finding what's required, and guiding them collectively towards a sustainable solution.

Here are 4 points:

💔 Understanding the Unseen Battles: It's crucial to recognize that their situations may appear insurmountable and their emotions too daunting to handle. Yet, amid the darkness, these young hearts aren't seeking judgment; they crave acceptance, guidance, and unwavering support.

🤝 Offering Acceptance and Compassion: The act of self-harm often stems from a place of feeling cornered, where options seem nonexistent. It's a silent plea for understanding, a cry for help masked by the scars. Instead of judgment, these young souls truly need a compassionate hand ready to guide them back to life.

🚀 Navigating Beyond Judgment: What would you do instead of judging? Extend a hand, be a light, and create a space where acceptance prevails. Empower them with alternatives, foster an understanding environment, and let compassion be the guiding force. These young spirits can flourish with the proper support, allowing them to discover that life holds more possibilities than they once believed.

💖 Embracing the Power of Compassion: Let's shift our perspective as we reflect on judgment. Let compassion be our response, understanding our shared vulnerability as humans navigating the complexities of life. In the face of emotional storms, let acceptance be the beacon that guides these young souls back to the shores of hope and resilience. 🌟

Let us all embrace our youths.
