One thing I know about trauma is that it distorts and intensifies every negative thought, feeling, and physical sensation we have.
Trauma makes is thin-skinned, overly sensitive, hypervigilant, and prone to pain.
And it’s over all-encompassing, so our attention is focused on the pain and on desperately trying to avoid it.
Inner healing is not something you do in the evenings or on weekends - you’ll learn to work on it all the time.
