Any fear you have of falling on your face and looking like a fool as you show your idea to the world is completely natural.
It is in your DNA.
In our primaeval past, staying connected with the tribe was essential for survival.
Losing their support would put us at risk of being cast out.
We have learned to keep our heads down and resist trying anything that the group might think was a bit fancy.
It makes sense why we felt miserable.
Our instinct constantly warns us about it.
Although we may have thought that our instincts are keeping us safe by staying to what is familiar in order to survive.
Actually, it’s the other way around.
Our instincts were on the contrary magnifying our pains and misery for us to understand that what’s causing us anguish does not belong to us.
That being in a miserable state is not the space where we should be.
That, there’s more to our misery than plainly staying miserable.
And based on my personal experience, having survived and outlived PTSD, the fear of rejection and failure will reduce over time.
In proportion to how far often we put ourselves out there.
Those unwanted feelings were not invitations to step back into the shadows, they were signs that you are just at the edge, right where you should be.
And being at the edge means, stepping forward is the only key.
So, burst that bubble.
Step on. Step forward. HEAL.
