𝒜ccountability.

Once again, becoming accountable is what it’s all about. Taking ownership allows a great shift of major proportions, one that allows you to become the master of yourself and your universe.

All that is important is to be willing to be accountable for:

Your own feelings

Your own thoughts

Your own words

Your own action.

Today, let me share with you another success story of my client who’s had stage 4 metastatic colon cancer. Exactly 12 weeks since he reached for my hand, he remission.

What can be more fulfilling to a therapist like me than to hear your client achieve their optimal desire – to LIVE!

Fear of something in the present.

Obsessed with order.

Giving up goals when unable to have what he desired.

These were the pattern of thoughts, emotions, and actions that he has been looping for the last 25 years of his life.

In his childhood, he has had activated so many illnesses, just to put a message across. He struggled to live in their dysfunctional family, he felt constricted, he felt stuck.

Growing up, he maintained an obsessive sense of order. This was his only way to stay in control.

Satisfaction was elusive. He puts all his attention to things that he had failed to achieve and reach.

He was so hard on himself.

Yes! I have got Stage 4 metastatic cancer, he said to himself.

I can now happily die and vanish.

But

What made him turn around?

LOVE.

The love of his wife, sons, and daughter.

Despite his mood and state of mind,

They have continuously shown him love and pure affection.

LOVE tamed the feral and savage beast in him.

Love subsided the projections caused by his woundedness.

Love made him look trauma in the eye.

Love made him live again.

What a beautiful story to share.

May this inspire you for the rest of the week, everyone!

Happy Monday!
